Saab Salomon Mountain Mayhem 24hr Enduro Results

Congratulations to Team FitnessX, who came 31st out of 245 teams in their first ever team enduro event.
From the Le Mans style start, the team looked aggressive, with Mark Blakeley running an impressive time, gaining considerable places to begin the first lap of this gruelling event.

Handing over the baton to Mark Hingston and then Andy Benfield who unbelievably finished their first laps in the exact same time of 39:15, indicating how close these team members are following their strict training schedules. Andy Grain completed the first team lap looking very fast down the grass track towards the lake before beginning the slow climb and dropping back to the arena to kick off the 2nd team lap.

The team continued this order of play into the night, changing tactics slightly with each team member completing two laps in a bid to allow longer recover times. With dawn break there was no let up of pace, with average 41 minute laps even after 20+ hours of riding!

Team FitnessX have integrated the X-Bike into their training schedule and this has proven to increase their climbing techniques and stamina throughout the event.
